Supplies needed:
-- PSP
-- main tube of choice (I used one of AldoDark's beauties--you can buy her here at Scraps and the City.)
-- scrap kit "Spring Serenity" by Inzpired Creationz. you can also purchase this gorgeous kit at SATC here.
-- the plugins EyeCandy 4000, MuRa Meister Perspective Tiling and Lokas Gel.
-- Jazzy's "basic" drop shadow setting of 2, 2, 50, 3.
-- mask of choice. i used a mask by Zuzzanna. she has many great ones at her site. hers are best for this particular tut, but you can use any mask with a square/rectangular center and exact edges.
-- font of choice.
Let's get creating!
1. Open a new blank file
600x600. Go to your preset shapes tool > preset shape and choose the hexagon. Choose a color
from your tube or kit. Draw a hexagon in center of
canvas, and, once you're happy with it, convert the layer to raster.
2. Open Paper1,
paste as new layer. Click with your magic wand around the outside of the hexagon,
return to paper layer, delete. Merge down.
3. Drag your shape around in order to cut away any excess paper around the edges and delete it, then return your shape to the center of the canvas.
4. Go to your plugins menu and apply Perspective Tiling with the following settings:
5. Now apply your mask. Make sure that either the mask's center is black OR check the box that says "invert transparency". Apply it, then merge group in your layer palette.
6. Paste tube as a new layer. Cut it to fit "inside" the center of your mask.
7. Time for some elements. All elements are resized with the smart size setting. Apply basic drop shadow after each element is placed:
Butterfly,
30%
Clouds,
original size. Duplicate and arrange in
manner of choice along bottom. Cut away
excess to "fit" inside the mask.
Falling
petals, 50%. Place along right.
Flower3,
40%. Place in the lower left corner.
Choice
of bow. 50%. Place at top.
Crane1,
40%. Place to the lower right.
8. Make a new raster layer for your name. Go to Lokas Gel in your plugins menu and apply the following settings:
9. Apply the basic drop shadow again but change the color to a color from your tube (I used the violet of the tube's eyes).
10. Make a new raster layer for the appropriate copyright/your watermark.
11. Create a new raster layer, floodfill with white, send to bottom. Crop out any excess white space if needed.
12. Resize 90% bicubic, all layers checked, and save as png. And you are done!
